Interview: Ellen talks Scorpion King 4, doing her own stunts & her love for Gracie Jiu-Jitsu

Ellen Hollman says she will never get cast as the girl next door. And that’s probably because she thinks flying armbars are rad, knows how to use reverse-double daggers, and convinces studio execs into letting her do her own stunts.

Ellen Hollman says she began beating up boys on the playground as a child and never stopped. The stunning blonde, who starred as Saxa in two seasons of the Starz hit show Spartacus, proudly stated to that she will “never get cast as the girl next door.”

“If I keep my mouth shut and I just blankly stare I’m sure people can buy it for a second, but it’s just too much tenacity that comes through I suppose,” she said.

In her latest role, Hollman, 31, stars as Valina, in Scorpion King 4: Quest for Power. Released by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment earlier this year, the movie is littered with MMA stars past and present and also a former WWE Divas champion.

Universal Pictures has uploaded these three clips to their Youtube channel, promoting the new The Scorpion King movie, in which Ellen stars in as Alina, alongside Victor Webster, Lou Ferrigno, and Barry Bostwick. The Scorpion King 4 debutes on Digital HD on January 6, 2015 and on DVD and Blu-ray™ on January 13, 2015.

Joel Grey guest stars as disgruntled passenger Hank Kasserman.
